I have done a research project on labyrinths, Greece, and Greek Myths.

Research is the product of taking a subject or topic and studying it thoroughly. Use several sources and try to get as much information on the subject as possible. It takes a long time.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
My labyrinth research was a success. I think I found out a lot about them and I used a lot of sources. At first, I didn't even know the difference between labyrinths and mazes. It helped me to understand why it was important that we build one and how it could help people.

2. Why you chose it: I chose this subject because I had studied it before and it was interesting to me. I would like to find out more about these myths and the story behind important Greek Gods.
3. What you already know about your topic: I know there are several stories and I know the 13 Olympian gods. I'm familiar with many of the myths from English, but there are still a good few out there. I know the creation story almost by heart, but I'd like to know how more of the gods came along. 1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
Finding a fat question was a little bit challenging, but once I stepped back and looked at all of the questions that I had asked I realized what my fat question would be. When I found my fat question I was able to brainstorm a few more skinny question also. The pre-notetaking sheet definitely helped me. I think I have a good fat question. Teacher Response 3-21-07

1. What have I learned today?
I learned that some of the mythology stories included religious aspects that were true for many of the Greeks. Mathematics weren't very important to the Greeks.
2. What problems have I had?
I had a little bit of trouble with the noodlebib program because I was having a hard time remembering all of the steps. It was something new and I always start off with a few bumps when I'm using a new procedure.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
I will continue to use the same program. It will help me get used to it and I will be able to memorize the steps required for using noodlebib.
4. What will I do next?

I found that my questions weren't easy to research or find answers for. I was having some trouble collecting information.

I am going to change a few of my questions. I am only going to research on the daily life of Greeks.
